Apple has a way to make the Vision Pro much cheaper. And it already used it with the Apple Watch

Apple is considering, according to Bloomberg , launching a cheaper Vision Pro model by delegating power to the iPhone, as the first Watch did.


Apple is considering developing augmented reality glasses, variants of the current Vision Pro, that would delegate most of the power to the iPhone, according to Bloomberg . This would be a great move to democratize Apple's augmented reality, currently limited by the €4,000 Vision Pro price tag.

Why it matters . This strategy would replicate the launch of the Apple Watch nearly ten years ago, which catapulted sales of subsequent models. By delegating power to the iPhone, it allowed for an initial launch that gained traction by keeping the price contained. That affordable price is key to mass adoption.
