A strange cosmic object is close to Earth and causes very serious effects in space

 



A team of astronomers has made a surprising discovery that promises to change our understanding of the sources of gamma rays in the cosmos, since it was thought that they came from the cores of active galaxies, where supermassive black holes devour matter with brutal intensity.

However, an unexpected source seems to have revealed a different story, as the micro quasar V4641 Sagittarii , located relatively close to Earth at just 20 thousand light years away, in the constellation Sagittarius, hosts a black hole that is six times the mass of our Sun and is feeding on a companion star with three times its mass.

This binary system absorbs material from its neighboring star , causing the black hole to emit radiation in a manner similar to a cosmic particle accelerator . The surprise is that this micro quasar emits gamma rays with energy levels reaching up to 200 teraelectronvolts (TeV), a figure 200 trillion times greater than the energy of visible light.
